Built to UK 4mm Scale, Newport Street is DCC Controlled with sound and lighting.
Measuring 12ft x 2ft, a ideal footprint for exhibitions is 14ft x 5ft.
Available for all exhibitions in the UK and Europe
Newport Street is set in a similar period to the Cardiff Canton layout, 1998-2004. Newport Street can be run as either the stabling point or as an engineering yard with a variety of wagons in use.
The exhibition layout that wasn't!
Newport Street was built as a test layout to help Chris refine his skills when building Cardiff Canton. The original plan was to keep the layout as a basic photo plank, but exhibition invites quickly materialised. Since the layout was featured in the DEMU Society magazine in 2025 Chris has continued to refine and update the layout, with several exhibitions booked for 2025.
